Welcome to the Youth Academy!

What's an academy?

In the US, the word academy is not associated with soccer.  So, what does academy mean?  According to the Collins Contemporary Dictionary, one definition of academy is "a place of education or specialized training."  The Denver Kickers has taken this meaning to heart.  And, drawing on its European roots, the Denver Kickers Sports Club promises to strive in providing to be "a place of education or specialized training" in soccer.

An Academy is a concept; it requires and demands more than just a set of tangibles like facilities and people.  Here again, the Denver Kickers relies on its European tradition to set the notion of a club rather than the notion of a franchise- a club whose purpose is to serve rather than to make money.
